Garage Door Repair in Lake Quivira, KS

Lake Quivira, KS

Lake Quivira is a city built around a lake: the dam finished in 1929, the country club founded the year before, the gates up since the sixties, and incorporation in 1971, with about 394 households wrapped around 224 acres of spring-fed water on the Johnson and Wyandotte county line. Houses here span the lake's whole life, from the early cottages to the remodels and rebuilds, and a good share of them keep a second, smaller garage citizen alongside the car doors: the golf-cart bay.

That little door is Lake Quivira's signature repair. A cart door has its own small opener and spring, cycles a dozen times on a golf day, and then may sit for a winter while its battery fades and its hardware takes the lakeside humidity. It fails quietly, in the background, until the first warm weekend. Cart doors, like their bigger siblings, want their springs sized honestly and their remotes tested where they are actually used, which here means down the drive and halfway to the clubhouse. Lakeside air also taxes the main doors' bottom hardware a year or two ahead of the inland schedule; bottom seals and cables are worth a look on any visit.

One practical note: the gate. When you book, mention that you are in Lake Quivira, and the arrival gets arranged from our side; the crew has done the gate routine before and it costs you nothing but the sentence.
